Theme tours: Tradition in Hallstatt

Hallstatt, in the UNESCO World Heritage region of Hallstatt Dachstein Salzkammergut, has many different facets to be discovered: Small romantic alleyways, unusual locations and more than 7000 years of history. Thanks to this year’s custom theme tours, those who wish to completely immerse themselves into the historical, cultural, culinary life, have a variety of opportunities to do so. Those who like to be told exciting stories, to listen to anecdotes at historical places and learn about previously unknown point of views, will love these Saturday morning tours between May and November.

The UNESCO World Heritage region of Hallstatt Dachstein Salzkammergut is a very famous region for traditions. A lot of traditions characterize the life in the Inner Salzkammergut. The tour offers a view on the traditions - like the famous Corpus Christi procession “Fronleichnamsprozession”, which is hold on Lake Hallstatt with boats decorated with flowers – as well as the tradtitions like the “Thomasfeuer” on the bath island, the “Nepomukfeier” and the special events hold in Christmas time. The tour is hold in the months from November till December.
