Lasting memories!
Simply leave the everyday life behind for once. Experience new perspectives. Breathe fresh mountain air. Enjoy unlimited distant views. Hike together, instead of alone.
Also this year, the popular hiking guide Susanne Posegga, invites you to an unforgettable mountain experience: a high alpine three-day hike in the impressive nature of the UNESCO World Heritage region of Hallstatt Dachstein Salzkammergut. Picturesque sunrises and beautiful sunsets included.
The journey is the reward
We begin the three-day trekking tour where our mountain adventure will end: in the car park on the forest road in the rear of the Hallstatt Echerntal valley. From here it starts with a shared shuttle bus to the starting point of the unique nature experience: Lake Gosau.
Feel the freedom
Now starts the first stage to the unique Adamek hut. Here we discover the imposing mountain landscape of the UNESCO World Heritage region of Hallstatt Dachstein Salzkammergut with its numerous mountain trails, clear lakes and fertile alpine pastures - which contrast with the bizarre and vegetation-poor rocky desert on the seemingly endless karst plateau of the Dachstein massif. Here you can feel the freedom every step of the way.
Rustic mountain night
Alpine forests of Swiss pine and larches line our ascent to the rustic mountain hut of the Austrian Alpine Association. As it is slowly being replaced by the sparse rocky landscape, doubts soon arise as to whether we are still in Austria or have been abducted to an unknown country on a distant continent.
Far reaching views
On the next day, the second stage of our trekking tour, through the rugged world of the Dachstein, we are lead through the loneliest passage of this "guided hike" over the highest point of our trekking route to the "Hoher Trog" viewing mountain and on to the “Simonyhütte” on the edge of the Hallstatter glacier. And again and again on this section of our hike there are unrestrained and priceless views with wow effect.
Final on the mountain
After another night at altitude, we begin the descent into the beautiful Echerntal to Hallstatt. From the barren karst, the trail initially leads us through light pine and larch forests down into increasingly dense deciduous forests to the rushing forest stream, which has worked its way deep into the rock.
We end our tour where our vehicles are parked: at the car park near the monument of the famous Dachstein explorer Friedrich Simony, in Hallstatt’s Echerntal.
Sign up and come along
We would like to recommend all mountain enthusiasts, who now feel like hiking with us, to sign up quickly because, due to organisational reasons, the number of participants in this trekking tour is limited. We look forward to seeing you while hiking in the Salzkammergut!
