To this day, particularly in the Salzkammergut, Simony is still a legendary personality and name-bearer for numerous fixed points for nature lovers. For example the “Simonyhütte”, “Simonyhöhle”, “Simonywarte” and “Simonyscharte”. In addition, a monument has been erected for him in the Echerntal area of Hallstatt.
