Half of Europe comes to Obertraun
When the winter in the Salzkammergut slowly disappears and the first signs of spring become visible, hard guys and cool girls have only one destination - Lake Hallstatt in Obertraun. Because on the 2nd and 3rd March 2018, the 1st ‘Lake Hallstatt Ice Swimming’ will take place directly at the beach.
It is all in the length!
You can choose from distances over 50 meters breaststroke and crawl, 100, 200 and 1,000 meters as well as a 4x50 mixed relay. By the way, the competition in Obertraun is the final of the "Ice Cup" with stops in Holland, Germany and Austria, where around 100 participants from all over Europe are expected.
Where to register?
For those who enjoy the cold and would like to plunge into the cold waters of Lake Hallstatt at the ‘Lake Hallstatt Ice Swimming’ at the beginning of March, you can now register for it at www.bernhardhoell.at. On the homepage of the organiser there is also more information about the icy event.
