The high-quality music festival in the scenic and historically influenced cultural area in the heart of Austria is unique with its focus on the entire region and its intensive dialogue with it. Konradfest - Church Service
From 1988 to 2005, the KONRADFEST, which took place every year at the beginning of August and was initiated by the painter Lydia Roppolt, was a highly regarded center of new sacred music. Important composers created new works especially for St. Konrad. In 2021 the Konradfest was revived as part of the Kirchklang Festival. In 2022, several completely new works are on the program: the Upper Austrian universal musician Tanja Elisa Glinsner created four compositions based on poems by Elisabeth Meinhard and Else Lasker-Schüler, which will be performed in the festival service; in the afternoon concert you will hear a work by the Mondsee composer Marco Lemke.
