The sensitivity of Ariel Brínguez on the saxophone meets the piano of Xavi Torres. A rare enrichment for love and poetry, expressed through melodies that seem to come from heaven. The Bolero, the perfect place between music and senses, becomes the driving force behind an experience that is meant to move and surprise. Ariel and Xavi combine sensitivity and talent in a night of jazz and poetry - an emotional journey that will remain in the heart.
The Spanish pianist and virtuoso Xavi Torres (1991) is one of the outstanding young musicians on the European scene. His music is extremely imaginative and melodic, while rhythmically he is very strong and energetic, combining his Mediterranean roots with the Amsterdam experience, classical music and South American rhythms. After extensive studies in classical music and jazz, he has won several international prizes. He has released 6 albums as a leader, which have been greatly received by critics and audiences across Europe.
Ariel Brínguez (Santa Clara, Cuba, 1982) has distinguished himself on the international music scene by collaborating with some of the most renowned musicians in jazz and Latin American music. Among the artists he has worked with are Chucho Valdés and David Murray, with whom he has toured all over the world; Larry Willis, Orlando Valle, Paquito D'Rivera, Omara Portuondo, Miguel Zenón and Marcus Miller are among the many artists with whom he has shared the stage. He has also collaborated with Iván "Melon" Lewis "Voyager", the winner of the Latin Grammy for Best Jazz Album.
