The Dachstein as a favorite mountain
From 19th October until 1st December, the Hand.Werk.Haus Salzkammergut in Bad Goisern on the Lake Hallstatt, will be exhibiting about 50 photographs "applied photographic art from 1898 - 1939" from the collection of Dr Karl Kaser.
Karl Kaser was a lawyer, hobby photographer and avid alpinist. He has therefore left thousands of technically and artistically high-quality images of high Alpine, including his favourite mountain, the Dachstein which, at the age of 70, he climbed for the 35th time. The exhibited pictures show a selection of photos taken on and around the Dachstein. Not only are there particular perspectives of the Dachstein plateau, which are no longer exist, but also pictures of women in the elegant "Alpinrock" (Alpine dress), who were part of the group.
