New at the 9th Gravel Marathon on July 12, 2025: Three gravel routes at the Salzkammergut Trophy!

In 2017, the Trophy team was one of the first organizers in Europe to offer a gravel marathon. There are now three routes that are very popular. Because exploring the unique mountain and lake world of the Dachstein-Salzkammergut region on the extensive network of gravel, forest and asphalt side roads is a special pleasure. The longest gravel course starting in Obertraun goes over 67.6 kilometres and 1,952 metres in altitude and is almost identical to the C-route of the MTB marathon. For beginners and juniors, there is also a gravel classification on the shortest trophy route over 21.8 kilometers and 567 meters of altitude.

New gravel route starts in the imperial city of Bad Ischl!

In order to further expand the gravel offer at the Trophy, there will be another relatively easy gravel route on 12 July. It starts at the Trinkhalle in the imperial city of Bad Ischl and goes over 52 kilometers and a feasible 1,236 meters in altitude. The route runs past the Chorinsky-Klause, the historic wooden drift facility in the Goiserer Weißenbachtal. However, the difficult descent from Hochmuth for gravel bikers is via the asphalt road. One women's and one men's class each will be evaluated. On the longest gravel course, there is an age division for the first time this year. The times of the gravel bikers also count towards the slow-motion classification.
