St. Nicholas is coming - and has brought something great with him
You should be there when St. Nicholas arrives in Bad Ischl because it is an atmospheric and child-friendly event that takes place every year on December 5th.
St. Nicholas comes to the children with his well-behaved Krampuss, and on a decorated stage, music and readings create a festive atmosphere.
The event is specially designed for children. There are music groups and readings that create a festive atmosphere. It is a traditional event in Bad Ischl, where St. Nicholas visits the children with his Krampuss.

Visit from St. Nicholas with his well-behaved Krampus A particularly atmospheric and, above all, child-friendly event takes place in Bad Ischl every year on 5 December. Because that's when St. Nicholas comes to the children of Ischl with his well-behaved Krampus! On the decorated stage, music groups will provide an atmospheric atmosphere from 5:00 p.m. onwards.
Werner Fahrner reads texts and poems and Stucka answers many a question about the Krampus with a little wink.
There's something going on!
At 18:00 hrs., St. Nicholas comes with his Krampus and distributes the gifts he has brought with him to the children. Fragrant punch and mulled wine, hot tea and many a culinary surprise are of course not to be missed. The eerily beautiful conclusion of the event will be provided by the "Wildenstoana Perchten" from about 19:30 hrs.
