Like stars in the winter night -
Insights into the world of art, design and object art

When the days get shorter and the lights get quieter, Galerie Am Fluss opens its doors for a special exhibition that makes winter shine. "The Art of Winter" combines art, design and fine objects – contemporary, handcrafted, unique.

Artists from near and far will show selected works. Participants are: Angelika Fink, Sonja Dieplinger, Theodora Gyöngyi, Ina Loitzl, Gerlinde Kosina, Christine Muhr, Ulrike Resch vulgo Longus, Farbschuss by Andrea Springer, Heike Steinbauer-Veronig, Marco Tonutti, Patricia Voglreiter, Loose Silver by Lisa Wagenhofer Ausseer Porzellan by Astrid Wichert and Sabine Katharina Windischbauer.

In the encounter of painting, sculpture, jewelry, textiles and ceramics, a dialogue between material, craftsmanship and emotion is created. Here, art can be experienced sensually – finely crafted, created with mindfulness and carried by the joy of designing. Wintry. Quiet. Radiant. Painting opens up spaces for colour and depth, sculptures anchor the moment in space. Glass, metal, clay and textiles tell of form, movement and touch. The works combine precision and lightness, combining artistic freedom and mastery of craftsmanship. Every object, every picture, every textile weave bears the trace of its creator – and invites you to take a closer look, to pause, to feel.

"A star is falling from its sparkling height!" - Heinrich Heine.
The works in this exhibition shine like stars in a winter night – handmade, genuine, radiant from within. And like a falling star, the moment of encounter also seduces sensual attention – while looking, feeling and tasting.

A touch of Italy in the winter light "By the river": on Friday, November 28, from 4 p.m. and Saturday, November 29, from 11 a.m., there will be a special opportunity to get to know fine wines from Tonutti Vini e Vigneti from Friuli Venezia Giulia.

The combination of art, craftsmanship and taste creates a very special space for encounters and enjoyment - elegant, authentic and a touch of Italian warmth in the Ischl winter.

The gallery "Am Fluss" is a fine little art space with a great view - a place that keeps art alive and looks for something special in every work. This is where the real finds space: things that are created by hand and thought with the heart. A place of amazement, feeling and an invitation to experience winter with all your senses.
For me, "The Art of Winter" is a quiet, luminous celebration – a place where art and craft come together. Each work tells of dedication, precision and beauty – and of how art can give warmth even in the coldest moment," says gallery owner Iris-Daniela Auerbach happily.
