Choirs from all over the world as guests in the imperial city
A choir concert in the Protestant church of Bad Ischl offers a unique cultural experience in the heart of the Salzkammergut. Visitors enjoy an intimate, acoustically excellent atmosphere in a historic ambience, which often highlights contemplative or festive music programmes. A concert visit can be ideally combined with a walk in the footsteps of Sisi and Franz Joseph, whether to experience the Emperor's Festival or the Advent season.
This year, numerous choirs from all over the world will once again do the honours in the Protestant church of Bad Ischl. This time you can look forward to the following choir...
Two choirs - one program
Presbyterian College Choir & the Choir of the Gymnasium Bad Ischl
Under the motto "From Gospels to Traditionals", the Presbyterian College Choir under the direction of Kipp Ackerman and the choir of the 2nd grade of the Gymnasium Bad Ischl under the direction of Sonja Pfeiffer will present a musical experience that should not be missed on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, in the Protestant parish of Bad Ischl.
An evening full of music for everyone – admission is free – all donations from the evening will be used for the restoration of the church roof. From the poignant "What Wondrous Love" to the rousing sounds of "This Little Light of Mine", a varied program unfolds that offers both thoughtful moments and exhilarating cheerfulness.
The music connects cultures and hearts – an evening where the voices of the young choirs make the soul sing.
The Presbyterian College Choir of Clinton, South Carolina, is open to all students of the college, founded in 1880, and is dedicated to musical development through the study of traditional choral works. True to the motto of the university "Dum Vivimus Servimus" – As long as we live, we serve", the choir shares the joy of choral singing.
The programme includes works by Robert Schulz, Johann Franck, John Stainer, Moses Hogan and Dan Forrest, among others.
Let yourself be infected by the enthusiasm of the young musicians during your concert visit to the Evangelical Church in Bad Ischl.
