It has become a good old tradition: We hiked on the Austrian national holiday. The hiking shoes are laced and the rucksack packed. And choose the right clothes. Whether alone, with friends or family, it's always a lot of fun. Numerous guests from all over the world are always there. The tour is suitable for everyone and not difficult. Not so fit hikers can also go here. It is only important: For organizational reasons, please register in advance. And don't forget the rain gear. And then we wish them a lot of fun.

And where are you going this year?

Hiking on National Day - the Bad Ischl Tourist Office invites you to the "Bad Ischl Hiking Day" again this year. The hike, which is no problem even for inexperienced hikers, will be accompanied again this year by the Bad Ischl city guides, who tell historical, cultural and humorous stories.

Wildly romantic waterfalls, hidden forest paths, overgrown witnesses from times long past, magnificent vantage points - all this and much more could already be discovered at the previous Ischl Hiking Days. And many a local hiker was already amazed by the forgotten paths in and around the imperial city.

Sterzens Abendsitz – Rettenbachklamm – Hubhanslau - Maxquellgasse. After a little refreshment, the start will be at 10.00 a.m. at the Trinkhalle. From there, the hike leads out of the centre to the Sterzens Abendsitz and then on to the Rettenbachklamm. The way back leads through the Hubhanslau past the Gagarin monument to the Maximilian Fountain in Maxquellgasse.

• Duration of the hike approx. 3 hours.
• Sturdy shoes and surefootedness in the Rettenbach Gorge are required!
• The Bad Ischl Tourism Association and the Austria Guides are looking forward to numerous participants.
• Registration is not required, but you are welcome to do so in person at the office of the tourist office in the Trinkhalle (Auböckplatz 5), by phone (+43 6132 27757) or by e-mail (office@badischl.at).
