Around the mountain "Jainzen" in Bad Ischl
This year's National Day invites you to hike together again. Salzkammergut Tourism, Destination Bad Ischl, is organising a hiking day around the Jainzen, the striking local mountain of the imperial city, on Monday, 26 October 2026.
The meeting point is from 9:30 a.m. at the café "Zum Flügelrad" at Bad Ischl train station. A cozy refreshment awaits you there: With coffee and cake, free of charge for all participants, you can greet each other in peace before you go on the hiking tour around the Jainzen together.
If you would like to experience the route with background knowledge and in company, you can join a guided group with the Austria Guides. Everyone else is invited to walk the round at their own pace and according to their own schedule, just as it fits best into the holiday.
From 12:00 p.m., everyone will meet again in the café "Zum Flügelrad" for a cozy finale, with time for conversations, exchange and one or the other hiking summary. Food and drinks at the end are at your own expense.
Participation in the hiking day is free of charge, registration is not required.
The hiking day on the national holiday is an invitation to locals and guests alike to spend the holiday actively and in good company, in the middle of the nature of the Salzkammergut and right on the doorstep of Bad Ischl.
