The festival of the international art of
"varieté" is celebrating it‘s 5-year anniversary in February 2026!
In 2020 a striking success story has started for the Winter Varieté Bad Ischl, which invites each year in February world class international varieté artists – presented in elaborate theatre theme shows – onto the stage of the Kongress- & Theaterhaus Bad Ischl. Since then, over 15.000 visitors have been inspired by the varieté shows of the Winter Varieté Bad Ischl.
The previous shows, „Spirit Dreams“, „Varieté Traumreisen“, „Varieté Avantgarde“ as well as the show of last year „Magische Momente“ have been awarded with top grades for its supreme quality of theatre production from the audience as well as the media!
The success of this unique cultural project is undoubtedly due to the congenial cooperation between the visionary, artistic and stage director Freimuth Teufel and the prestigious international Varieté producer Dirk Denzer.
Our sponsors and partners are the reason the Winter Varieté is able to make a dazzling impact to so many people, especially our main sponsor Wolfgangsee Schifffahrt & Schafbergbahn but as well the tourism association Bad Ischl and the city Bad Ischl have been a crucial support to this project from the very beginning.

The new show „VARIETÉTRÄUME – an artistic journey around the world“ is an international show with modern Varieté art, enchanting aerial acrobatics, groundbreaking juggling performances, captivating comedy acts, high-Quality acrobatic and extraordinary magic moments.
