The Kaisertage (also Kaiserwoche) in Bad Ischl is an annual, multi-day series of events that takes place around the birthday of Emperor Franz Joseph I (18 August). The traditional series celebrates the legacy of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy with historical flair, concerts and customs.
With a lot of charm, a little nostalgia and a healthy pinch of ironic entertainment, the imperial city serves a colorful cocktail of hospitable festive mood around the emperor's birthday.
