90 minutes of delightful Advent laughter with audience favorite Wolfgang Böck

In his new stage solo, TV and theater star and chamber actor Wolfgang Böck knows like no other how to enrapture his audience with laughter, completely without kitsch, with wit and spot-on punchlines.

When grand masters of humor such as Loriot, Erich Kästner, Hugo Wiener, Robert Gernhardt, O'Henry, Franz Molnár, Ephraim Kishon, and Erich Sedlak have their say, pre-Christmas entertainment of the highest order is guaranteed. The stories personally selected by the artist focus on Christmas celebrations that take an unexpectedly turbulent turn due to surprising events, making them curious and particularly entertaining.

True to the motto: Laughter is allowed – no, it should be!

Biography of Chamber Actor Wolfgang Böck

Born in Linz on January 14, 1953, he received his first theater engagement in Bregenz. After numerous roles in his hometown of Linz, he subsequently performed in Vienna at the Volkstheater and the Josefstadt, the Schauspielhaus Zurich, the Renaissancetheater in Berlin, the Graz Opera House, and the Salzburg Festival. Together with his colleague Adi Hirschal, he conceived "Die Strizzilieder," a musical journey through the Viennese suburbs.

He became known throughout Austria primarily through the "Kaisermühlen-Blues." In this production, he played the police officer Trautmann. After the series ended, Trautmann was transferred, and his own TV series, "Trautmann," began. Wolfgang Böck also appeared as a senior senate councilor in the highly successful sitcom "MA 2412" and as Auxiliary Bishop Landkammer in Germany's most-watched series, "Um Himmels Willen."

In 2003, he was appointed artistic director of the Burgenland Castle Theatre Kobersdorf. In the very first season, the average attendance doubled, and occupancy has remained at nearly 100 percent every year since then.

In 2005, 2007, and 2009, the actor was awarded the coveted "Romy" Audience Award for Best TV Actor/Actor. In 2002, he received the professional title of "Kammerschauspieler" (Chamber Actor).

In addition to his work for stage and film, Wolfgang Böck's humorous and satirical readings have been real crowd-pleasers for many years.
