The open-air museum in the Gosau district of "Hintertal" is worth a visit because it offers a unique insight into the rural life and cultural heritage of the region. The museum shows a typical Gosau Paarhof from the 16th and 17th centuries, a large stable barn and various outbuildings that give an authentic impression of the life and work of earlier generations.
And you can now experience them live: again and again on Sundays! From June to August 2025. Between 1:00 p.m. and 4:000 p.m., there will be guided tours of the area and through the historic buildings in the open-air museum.
One-hour walking tour
A visit to the special exhibition on the topic of "150 years of the Gosau music band" is also on the program. The tours last about 1 hour each and are free of charge, but the open-air museum would be happy about a voluntary donation! Registration is not necessary! Just come and enjoy: An exciting journey through time through the eras of the Gosau Valley. Gosau goes history - Will you come along?
