In addition to the half marathon around Lake Hallstatt, the hobby run around the picturesque Lake Gosau is one of the most beautiful running events in the Salzkammergut. Every spring, runners from all over the world embark on the almost 4.2-kilometer route at the foot of the mighty Dachstein Glacier.

The circuit at around 1000 meters above sea level can be easily be accomplished by almost every amateur runner. This is due to the impressive landscape, along one of the most beautiful mountain lakes in Austria, which makes the metres and metres just fly by. And so the evening running experience at the foot of the Gosaukamm is becoming increasingly popular.
