A Place in the Sun
Because when the day slowly awakens in the early morning, Lake Hallstatt still lies quietly in its lake bed and the morning dew drips from the leaves - then it's time for an unusual pleasure experience! Almost exclusively, you float quietly and comfortably up to 2000 metres above sea level on the Dachstein Krippenstein cable car, where the breath-taking natural scenery of the Dachstein massif lies at your feet. If you want to experience the full range of the panorama, we recommend the approximately fifteen minute walk to the World Heritage Spiral or the almost 45 minute walk to the FiveFingers viewing platform.
Culinary Conclusion
This incomparable morning is rounded off with a rustic breakfast at the picturesque Gjaidalm. A seat has already been reserved on the panorama terrace of the Schilcherhaus. Freshly brewed coffee, crispy pastries and plenty of delicious specialities from the region bring this morning to a close. An unusual opportunity to see the Dachstein "awaken" and take a little speed out of your own everyday life, to "decelerate" the stress of everyday life a little!

For all those who would like to hike a little further after their alpine breakfast, we would like to recommend the Heilbronner circular hiking trail. This leads from the Gjaidalm through the impressive karst landscape to the Heilbronner Cross, then on along the well maintained hiking trail to the Dachstein-Hai and then to the mountain station on the Krippenstein. The hike takes about 2 hours and is a great experience for all the senses.
