Solstice bonfire on Mount "Feuerkogel" - the summer experience on the mountain
With the family to the solstice fire on the Feuerkogel
On Saturday, June 22, 2024, a large solstice fire will again be lit on the Feuerkogel high plateau at 1,600 m above Lake Traunsee. An atmospheric start to summer is celebrated with a traditional solstice bonfire, regional live music and a great supporting programme for the whole family.
Alpine pasture hike with nature tour
At 4.00 p.m. and 6.00 p.m. there will be an alpine hike with a nature tour. The starting point is at the photo point near the mountain station of the Feuerkogel cable car. Participation is free of charge and no registration is required.
Pure mountain experiences
Some of the mountain inns offer live music and, as always, regional delicacies. At about 9.15 p.m., a torchlight hike takes you from the mountain inns to the fireplace, where the solstice fire is lit at about 9.30 p.m. with musical accompaniment. Continuous cable car operation until 11.00 p.m.
