Wine Festival in Bad Ischl 2024
The great wine festival in the heart of the Capital of Culture
Meeting place for friends of a fine wine, conviviality and entertainment: the wine village of Bad Ischl! For the 23rd time, this wine festival, which has now become a tradition, will take place in the spa gardens in front of the magnificent backdrop of the Kongress & TheaterHaus.
From Wednesday, May 29 to Saturday, June 1, 2024, around 20 winegrowers invite you to taste. Numerous quality wines - from various Austrian wine-growing regions - are offered by the local winegrowers for tasting and direct purchase.
A Best Entertainment
A varied music programme, designed by the Salzkammergut Auslese, the Rüscherl Trio, the Trachtenverein D'Ischler, the Zwecks da Gaudi Musi, the Lindaua Musicians, the TrichterBlattlMusi and the Ischl music bands, frames the gastronomic enjoyment and ensures the best atmosphere and entertainment. This year, for the first time, the Krenlehner Musi will perform on the terrace of the Kongress & TheaterHaus and inspire the guests with their music.
There is something for everyone
The culinary offer in the wine village is diverse: baking, boiling and roasting. The Ischl farmers' wives serve "Salzkammergutes", such as down-to-earth delicacies from the farm and fresh farmer's doughnuts. As a regional speciality, the traditional "Holzknechtnocka" are freshly prepared on an open fire. The Kiwanis Club Bad Ischl serves fried chicken, potato salad and wines from the Ludwig Ehn winery. Bacon and roast rolls, vintner's snacks, minced meat, lard bread, spreads and drinks are offered by the Jausenkaiser. The Sulzwerkstatt offers Sulzen, Sulzbrötchen, chips, pretzels, wine biscuits, non-alcoholic beverages and wines from the Hans Haider winery. Culinary brand products from South Tyrol, such as bacon and cheese platters, venison salami, Schüttelbrot, South Tyrolean wines and Andreas Hofer beer round off the offer.
