Location:  Hallstatt, 4830 Hallstatt
The musical wake-up call of the Hallstatt brass band accompanied by loud shots from the Hallstatt Shooting Club. Everyone gets out of bed!

With "Timpani & Trumpets"

A holiday in the Salzkammergut is only enjoyable when you can immerse yourself in the tradition of the country and its people. A fixed point in the customs calendar of the UNESCO World Heritage region of Hallstatt Dachstein Salzkammergut is the musical wake-up call on 1 May. On these days, the musicians of the Hallstatt Salinenkapelle get up very early, slip into their festive uniforms and parade with "timpani and trumpets" through the "most beautiful lake town in the world", as it was aptly called by the world traveller Alexander von Humboldt at the beginning of the 19th century.

The morning music event is accompanied by the local Schüzuen club with numerous shots and volleys. A special sound experience. Especially when the shots find their echo in the narrow valley basin over the lake.

So if you hear cheerful sounds in the early morning during your holiday in Hallstatt – don't be alarmed! This is the salt music of Hallstatt. They just want to play!
