Time travel in the “Freilichtmuseum” (open-air museum)
What setting, within the Salzkammergut, would be more suited for a medieval market than the historic “Freilichtmuseum” (open-air museum) in the picturesque Gosau valley? From the 8th to 10th of June 2018, enthused visitors from all over the world to the foot of the Gosaukamm, can experience the flair of an old culture and get a picture of the way of life, the clothes, the craft and the music of the Middle Ages.
There’s lots to see
On this summer’s weekend, you will meet a lot of jugglers, minstrels and other actors, and on the "market place" many goods will be offered for sale. From fragrant soaps and creams to wood and blacksmith crafts, fabrics and woollen goods, jewellery and all sorts of trinkets. There will also be lots on offer to for dry throats and the hungry stomachs – there is simply too much to list. Let yourself be surprised and come to the medieval market in Gosau from 8th to 10th June 2018 in the UNESCO World Heritage region of Hallstatt Dachstein Salzkammergut.
