Scarily beautiful self-carved masks in combination with scraggy fur costumes in a mix of customs and spectacular performance show - all this characterises the Krampus runs in the Salzkammergut.

But in addition to the big Krampus run on 4th December in the centre of Bad Goisern on Lake Hallstatt and the imposing hell-spectacle on the historic market square Hallstatt, there is also the opportunity for the Krampus youngsters to put on a scarily beautiful show.

For example, in the Krampus run for children in the picturesque market square of Hallstatt. Here shortly before St. Nicholas' Day the Krampus youngsters, also affectionately called "Kramperl", get up to mischief.
