Theme tours: Culinary tour in Hallstatt

Hallstatt, in the UNESCO World Heritage region of Hallstatt Dachstein Salzkammergut, has many different facets to be discovered: Small romantic alleyways, unusual locations and more than 7000 years of history. Thanks to this year’s custom theme tours, those who wish to completely immerse themselves into the historical, cultural, culinary life, have a variety of opportunities to do so. Come with us on an unusual discovery tour of Hallstatt. Those who like to be told exciting stories, to listen to anecdotes at historical places and learn about previously unknown point of views, will love these Saturday morning tours between May and November.

The tour takes you to different stages where you try foretastes of traditional food from the region. The walk starts with the famous “Holzknechtnocken” – small dumplings which are very popular in the Salzkammergut. Before you try smoked fish in the Bräuhaus Hallstatt, you do a stop in the bakery Maislinger where you taste fresh bread. The last stage of our tour will be a visit in Janu’s turnery, where you will drink a shoot glass of delicious Schnaps.
